About Map 502 Map 502 for Mac 0.1.5 has been fairly well tested, and is fairly accurate with regard to the correlation of graphics and movement costs, though not always a precise match. Map 502 for CE/Mac and Map 502 for CE/PC have not been thoroughly tested but already there are a few known spots where treelines and coding do not precisely match up. These maps will eventually be redrawn to eliminate these discrepancies. Look for a later update. (This version is 1.0.0.) About the terrain: The "rocky fields" are rated the same as the standard TacOps rough terrain. Trees and towns are rated the same as standard TacOps. Where rocky terrain and woods intermingle, the movement cost is rated to be that of woods. The mountains (far eastern section) are a slower rough than the rough in standard TacOps. (It's reaaaal slow! Take the dirt road!) The dirt road is as fast as a road where surrounded by clear terrain, as fast as clear terrain where surrounded by rough terrain, and as fast as rough terrain where surrounded by mountain terrain. The "swamp" (or marsh, or padi, depending on your scenario's location) is rated as Rough 1, but there are hidden patches of water here and there which will affect movement, particularly non-amphibious vehicles. These must pick their way across carefully, changing direction each time it comes to water and stops. The river is about 100m across, but there are one or two natural fords where the riverbanks are close together that allow a somewhat speedier crossing. The beach is clear terrain and has the same elevation as the green terrain next to it. There is no difference other than color between the beach and the light green terrain that adjoins it. The light green areas are low ground. The darker green is high ground. The darkened green of the woods in the far northwest section of the map is high ground, while the light green woods next to it is low ground.
