Norwegian Radar Detection Patterns
The geography of Norway, with its mountainous terrain along the Swedish border, greatly affects the air-search radars along Norway's coast. In some places, the eastward range of detection is only a fraction of its rated limit. For a detailed analysis of these radar ranges in northern Norway, see the Norwegian Radar map.
