British Army TO&E
Due to the vast differences between British and American military
structures, British unit sizes can be misleading to Americans.
One reason is that the size of "battalions" and "regiments"
varies greatly and do not always correstpond to the similar size
in the American force structure. Armoured regiments are the equivalent
of an American squadron/battalion while squadrons are of troop/company
size and troops are platoon size. Artillery regiments in the British
Army are of battalion size, however, with batteries being about
the same (company) size. Infantry battalions are virtually synomous
to American units, except for equipment differences.
[NOTE: Forces have been greatly simplified for game purposes.]
