RE: General Warning Order

Warning Order to all Ground Force Components:

107th MRD will attack At 0001 hours accross the border per the Prestone 2
document attached. The actual forces will be different but the concept is
the same. The attacks will be preceded by heavy MRL and artillery attacks
on known or suspected enemy positions. The artillery can fire as the troops
move accross the border.

7 VDV will conduct the mission as indicated and already planned.

76 VDV will drop one Regimental Battlegroup in the Narvik/Evennes area. One
BDE will move to occupy Kirkenes via helo from Afrakanda and have
contingency mission to conduct airmobile operations in support of the 107th.
The last battle group should be starting near the border because they are
not going to be using the air transports. They are to be attached to the
107th MRD as a fourth battlegroup.

The SPF BN will conduct the missions as listed in Prestone. These do not
occur before 0015.

We have Naval Infantry units already at sea on the VSTOL carriers.

We are going to follow PRESTONE2 for the most part. Seize airfields, move
accross the border to firmly secure the bases, use helos to withdraw the
airborne troops.

The 107th MRD will attack generally with the two BTR Regiments in front with
the BMP and Tank in the second echelon. The lead regiments will create a
hole through which the more mobile regiments will flow through. Elements of
the SPF BN and eventually the 76 VDV will use airmobile operations to secure
key terrain ahead of the MRD.
