NATO Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC) Deployments

This lists the various forces that have been designated as being part of NATO's Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC) and shows their current location of deployment as of July 1, 2009.

Please note that this "Corps" does not function as a separate command, but rather is an administrative designation for all rapid-response divisions within NATO. Thus, if a division has been assigned to this Corps, you know it is a highly prepared unit that is equipped and ready to initiate full combat operations, usually within 48 hours.

1st (Mechanised) Brigade (Tidworth, UK) -- 1/1 BN. sent to Angola 11/1, 2/1, 3/1 BNs on standby alert.

19th (Mechanised) Brigade (Catterick, UK) -- Most of this brigade was lost at sea during Falklands war.

5th (Airborne) Brigade (Aldershot, UK) -- 1 BN. ready to deploy in 12 hours. Full brigade will be ready to deploy. 24-72 hours.
