Background:
Well-equipped with T-90-AT tanks -- the latest in Russian MBTs -- the 10th Tank Army is among the elite combat units of the Russian Army. Its divisions have seen action in several domestic wars, in particular the recent Ukrainian rebellion which saw the 10th Tank delivering fatal blows to the rebel army's rear headquarters and supply centers after breaking through its front lines in just a matter of days. This experience has helped forge strong leadership skills even down to the regimental level, allowing divisional commanders to feel secure in the knowledge that their subordinates will generally act with good judgement and will even take some degree of initiative at times if the situation calls for it (a trait that is unusual in the Russian Army, where regimental commanders tend to follow instructions from higher with blind obedience). Fresh off the heels of success in the Ukraine, the 10th Tank is now reconsituted, resupplied and highly motivated for the coming conflict. It should be noted , however, that like the 5th Shock Army, 10th Tank is trained and seasoned for the attack, and is not as experienced in defensive operations.
